Beginner Course
Scuba Diver Course:
This is your first step towards becoming a skilled scuba diver. This four day course will give the novice diver basic knowledge to interact safely with his/hers equipment, dive buddies, group, aquatic environment, boat operations and dive leaders in charge.
The course is divided into three segments:
1) Knowledge development – mainly based on the study of the NAUI Scuba Diver Course manual, listening to classroom lectures and watching the course video
2) Waterman-ship and stamina – it will require completing very basic water skills requirements such as: swimming, basic use of mask, fins and snorkel
3) Skin & Scuba diving skills development – in a pool environment or confined water at first, you will learn the basic techniques required to become a safe diver, all under the direct supervision of your NAUI Instructor
Following these three sections, you will have to apply your newly gained skills in the open sea, in a non-threatening environment, not exceeding 18 m (60 ft.) depth with your Instructor. This is the moment when you really get the fun and thrilling opportunity of submerging yourself in the natural environment. You will perform five scuba dives with your Instructor to qualify as a NAUI Scuba Diver. You must be minimum 15 years old to be certified or minimum 12 years old to become a Junior Scuba Diver.
We run this course with two basic options: Regular Course, involving all required training, educational materials and knowledge development, taught by a qualified, experienced NAUI Instructor. Or, the VIP private course taught by a NAUI Course Director, including all training and the student package kit for NAUI Scuba Diver. Please let us know in advance if you are interested in our private “one on one” course.
