Naui
Established in 1959, the National Association of Underwater Instructors (NAUI) is the oldest non-profit diver training membership association in the world. The agency was created with the exclusive purpose of sustaining and advancing “Dive Safety through Education”. Captain Jacques-Yves Cousteau, the inventor of the aqualung, was on the board of advisors of NAUI, as was Albert R. Behnke, a pioneer of diving medicine.
Today more than ever, the organization has developed into a mature, reliable association, which offers a variety of training programs, from Skin Diver all the way through Instructor Course Director, with dozens of specialty courses, among which Nitrox and technical diving.
With member instructors, dive companies, resorts, and service centers situated in different countries, the association has an extensive coverage of the globe. The newest asset to the NAUI family is the NAUI Egypt division, which was established in the beginning of 2010, with its office based in Hurghada.
