Daily dive sites location
Usually, daily diving takes you to the closest diving locations, situated around and about the dive center area. It is, however, possible to have daily dive trips to more remote locations; these are organized upon request and require a minimum number of participating guests.
As the major location for diving on this side of the Red Sea, Hurghada offers a multitude of possibilities for diving at all levels of experience. Below you can find our choice of the top three sites you cannot afford to miss when diving in Hurghada:
Umm Gamaar (the Mother of the Moon) Island
It is the northernmost dive site in Hurghada, and one of the most popular among experienced divers, offering a dense population of reef and pelagic species. The east and west side of the island offer awesome drift dives.
Gota Abu Ramada
It is “the Aquarium”, among other coral gardens, which probably provides the most colorful and beautiful reefs of Hurghada. At about 20 m from the wall there are two coral pinnacles abounding with glassfish. It is “THE PLACE” to be for photographers.
El Minya Wreck
Named after its location - the harbor (in Arabic: el minya) - this ship wreck lies few minutes away from the Seagull Marina since 1969, at about 30 m under the surface. The 70 m long ship makes an interesting dive site, if not for other, at least for being one of the few minesweeper wrecks in the world.
Diving El Minya has a bonus attached to it. If your air consumption is good, or you are not on your first dive here and can think of yourself at exploring it more succinctly, then you can take a look at the fishing boat – or “Hasaballah” as the locals call it - which is situated at a short distance from the main wreck. The two combined will definitely make it on your “favorite dive sites list” in Hurghada.
