Passport Diver Program:
This is a non-certification program for
vacationers who do not have the time to complete a certification
course. It is an ideal program to get the first taste of what scuba
diving is all about - Adventure, Fun, Excitement and don't forget
Safety!
The program is run in one day with 2 ocean dives in
shallow water. After the participants have shown a mastery of basic
safety knowledge related to diving, the instructor will take them for
the first shallow scuba dive which will involve some basic skills and
an underwater tour on a tropical coral house reef for experience. The
second dive will be completed after lunch and will involve coral reef
sightseeing and basic environment awareness.
One of the numerous benefits of the program is that
all skills completed in the Passport Diver may be credited towards the
full certification course, your next logical step after this fun
program. You will be issued a NAUI diver's passport recognized
worldwide! One must be 12 years old minimum to enroll.

Scuba Diver Course:
Your first step as an educated scuba diver. This 4 day course will give
the novice diver basic knowledge to interact safely with their
equipment, dive buddies, group, aquatic environment, boat operations
and dive leaders in charge.
The course is divided into 3 segments:
1) Knowledge development - based on book study,
classroom lectures and video.
2) Watermanship and stamina - based on very basic
water skills requirements such as swimming and basic use of mask, fins,
and snorkel.
3) Skin & Scuba diving skills development - in a
pool environment or confined water first. You will learn the basic
techniques to be a safe diver under the direct control of your NAUI
Instructor.
Then will come the time of applying these skills in
the ocean in a non-threatening environment not exceeding 18 m. (60 ft.)
depth with your Instructor. Now is when you get the fun and thrill of
submerging in the natural environment. You will perform 5 scuba
dives with your Instructor to qualify as a NAUI Scuba Diver. You must
be 15 years old to be certified or 12 years old as a Junior Scuba Diver.
We run this course with 2 basic options: Regular
course involving all required training, educational materials and
knowledge development, taught by a qualified, experienced NAUI
Instructor. Or, the VIP private course taught by a NAUI Course
Director, including all training and student package kit for NAUI scuba
diver. Please advise in advance if interested in our private 'one on
one' course. |

Advanced Diver Course: This
course is the logical complementary step towards becoming a complete
diver. This 6 dives task-oriented course takes 2 days, and will broaden
your knowledge of what kind of scuba activities are available. There is
no classroom work involved in the course. Under the expert guidance of
your NAUI Instructor, you will discover some of the major possibilities
scuba diving has to offer, such as the 3 core dives of the course:
-Under Water Navigation
-Deep Diving (19m-40m or 65 to 130 feet)
-Night or Limited Visibility Diving
and some of these dives to complement the course:
-Current Diving
-Under Water Environment
-Under Water Photography
-Shore Diving
-Boat Diving
-Light Salvage
-Wreck Diving
The Advanced course is fun, rewarding and is
definitely the best course to gain the required experience to enjoy
safely the underwater realm! This is the course that trains you to go
to a maximum depth of 40 m. (130 ft.) instead of the 18 m. (40 ft.)
allowed by the basic Scuba Diver certification. One must be a NAUI
Scuba Diver or equivalent and 15 years old to enroll in the course.

Scuba Rescue Course: This course
is combined with a NAUI First Aid / CPR Course and is the perfect
complement to the Scuba Diver Course, where novice divers trained with
basic in-water rescue as an aware buddy. The course is run in 3 days
and involves knowledge development in classroom and in-water practice
for rescuing skin and scuba divers alike.
A more sophisticated rescue course is the Advanced
Rescue Course. This is the logical next step to the rescue course and
will also involve training in oxygen therapy to treat diving related
injuries.
One must be a NAUI Scuba Diver or equivalent and 15
years old to join the Rescue Course and a NAUI Advanced Diver or
equivalent and 17 years old to join the Advanced Rescue Course. The
NAUI / ASHI First Aid / CPR and Oxygen provider courses are available
to non-divers and are perfect training for families and individuals
wishing to increase their ability to help an accident

NAUI
Instructor Training (ITC)
NEXT COURSE MARCH 2009
|
Becoming a NAUI Instructor today is a trademark of
quality, professionalism and commitment to dive education worldwide. We
believe that NAUI Instructors are the best Instructors within the
recreational diving industry. The NAUI ITC brings dive leaders to the
highest standards of education and develops competent diving educators
our industry strives for.
During this 9 day training process, you will not
only learn how to teach, but to be a good, competent, professional,
trustful and dedicated scuba diving educator. We will prepare you for
your role as a NAUI voting member and as a successful professional
Instructor.
You will be trained by one of the most experienced
Instructor Trainer / operating in Red Sea today, who has trained a
highly qualified educator team, who will to help you to become the
successful Instructor you wish to be.
The ITC is divided into two segments:
1) The Instructor Training Program ( ITP),
which is a 7 day training program designed to bring the dive leader up
to the Instructor level of knowledge, skills and pedagogical abilities.
We will teach you "how to teach" beginner classes, advanced level
classes and leadership classes. The training will take place in the
classroom, confined water (or pool) and natural environment and you
will experience firsthand the NAUI concept of "academic freedom".
2) The Instructor Qualification Program or IQP,
which is a 2 day program which will qualify you (or not...) as a NAUI
Instructor. The candidates will be tested on two modules of written
exams, their pool and natural environment teaching abilities, their
classroom presentations, their rescue and leadership skills abilities.
Moreover, the entire course will evaluate the candidates with this
simple concept in mind: "Would we want this candidate to teach our
loved ones?"
After meeting all requirements to qualify as a NAUI
Instructor, our educational team will review each candidate's general
and specific performances as well as attitude to answer this very
simple question and grant you the coveted rating of NAUI Instructor.
To enter the ITC, one must be 18 years old or older,
be a NAUI leader or equivalent (an ITC preparatory course will be
mandatory prior the ITC for non NAUI leaders), have a minimum of 70
logged dives, have First Aid and CPR credentials not older than 24
months and be fully equipped. Tanks and weights will be provided for
the course.
If you are an Instructor with another association
and wish to further your diving education, we have a crossover course
of 4 days (ICC) , which is designed to evaluate competency of already
certified instructors and welcome them as NAUI Instructors and members.
This course is a 2 day training and 2 day evaluation program, which is
run as the 4 first days of a normal ITC.
